Moulded rings and joined cord
Large rings are supplied by two main routes. A moulded ring is made as one piece in a mould. A joined cord ring is cut from extruded cord and joined to size.
Neither route is automatically better. Selection depends on the duty, the pressure or vacuum, the media, the quality of the joint and any certification required. We advise on which route suits the application before you order.

- What sizes can be supplied?
- Large rings are made to the dimensions of the groove. Send the inside diameter and cross section and we will confirm what can be supplied.
- Which materials are available?
- Common elastomers including NBR, EPDM, FKM, VMQ and FFKM, with others on request. The material is chosen for the fluid and temperature, not by default.
- Is there a minimum order?
- Terms depend on the size, material and manufacturing route. They are confirmed in the quotation.
- Can you supply FDA or USP Class VI materials?
- Tell us the certification required. It is checked against the selected material and its actual documentation before we quote.
